Supervisors - Pension Administration

NILGOSC administers the Local Government Pension Scheme for Northern Ireland. The Scheme is Northern Ireland’s largest pension fund valued at over £7bn and serves over 85,000 members, 33,000 pensioners and 176 employing authorities. 

Grade SO2, Salary £28,485 to £30,153 per annum (NJC spine points 32-34)

We currently have three Supervisor positions available in our Pensions Administration Team. The post holders will be responsible for supervising, motivating and developing staff within the team to deliver a high quality service to pension scheme members, employing authorities and other third parties. Duties will include allocating, prioritising and monitoring the work of the team; ensuring performance standards are achieved; leading team meetings and ensuring staff are trained and developed to their full potential. 

Qualifications, skills and experience: please note – there was an error on the original educational requirements listed, this has now been updated as follows:

Applicants must have five GCSEs (including English Language and Mathematics) plus level three qualifications (e.g. two A levels or equivalent) and four years’ experience* or a level five qualification (e.g. degree or equivalent) and two year’s experience*. 
*Experience must be of dealing with high volumes of work in an administration environment.

Candidates must also have one year’s experience of allocating, checking and monitoring the work of others and ensuring work is completed accurately, setting team and individual targets and ensuring these are met.
