Salary £27,803 to £29,777 per annum
NILGOSC is the largest pension fund in Northern Ireland and we are currently looking for a new member of staff to join our Investment team to assist with managing the investment of the pension fund.
The Role: as Investment Officer you will assist with the implementation of NILGOSC’s investment strategy across the Fund’s circa £10bn investment portfolio and in the delivery of the responsible investment strategy. Responsibilities will include:
- monitor and report on investment and fund manager performance;
- assist with writing reports for the Committee/Board;
- monitor and report on investment costs;
- monitor and review compliance with relevant legislation;
- assist with identifying any need for legal action and monitoring on-going class actions;
- assist with the selection and termination process for investment managers, mandates and other relevant third-party providers; and
- assist with the implementation of NILGOSC’s Responsible Investment policies, casting and reporting on votes and engaging with investee companies.
The Person: we are looking for someone who is self-motivated, enjoys working as part of a team and has a positive attitude. You will need:
- five GCSE’s at grade C or above, to include English Language and Mathematics at grade B or above (or equivalents);
- at least six months administration experience, working in an office environment;
- organisational skills to allow you to manage multiple tasks and deadlines;
- excellent numeracy skills, and verbal and written English communication skills;
- to be proficient in the use of MS products (Word, Excel and Outlook); and
- an ability to absorb and understand detailed and complex information.
