NILGOSC has published its response to HM Treasury Consultation on Proposals to Reform the Cost Control Mechanisms in Public Service Pension schemes. HM Treasury launched this consultation on 24 June 2021.

NILGOSC responded to all seven questions raised within the consultation. The response has been published on our Current consultations webpage.

This consultation is relevant to the Local Government Pension Scheme in Northern Ireland (“LGPS (NI)”) and HMT has said it welcomes input from stakeholders in Northern Ireland schemes. Details of how to respond to the cost control consultation are on page 5 (2.12 to 2.14) of the consultation.
