NILGOSC endorses PRI stewardship initiative for human rights and social issues.

Published on

In December 2022, the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) formally launched Advance - a new stewardship initiative designed for institutional investors to work together with the overall objective of advancing human rights through stewardship.

NILGOSC recognises the role that investors can play in advancing human rights globally and is proud to endorse Advance, along with 220 other investors representing over $30 trillion USD in assets under management.

Through the stewardship initiative, institutional investors will use their collective influence with companies and other decision makers to drive positive outcomes for workers, communities and society. NILGOSC signed the public investor statement earlier in 2022, signalling NILGOSC’s support for the objectives and strategy of Advance, and encouraging other stakeholders to align to the objectives of the stewardship initiative.

The investor statement and more information on the initiative can be found on the PRI website: https://www.unpri.org/advance
