One useful Money Check: Review your Pension Statement

When did you last check your Annual Benefit Statement?

Your statement provides important information about the pension benefits you have built up. It is available through My NILGOSC Pension Online and can help you understand where you currently stand.

Today’s video walks through a sample online statement and explains its three main sections:

  • Pension Forecast
  • Pension Breakdown
  • Death Benefits

When reviewing your statement, you should also check that your personal information and pay details are correct. Your statement shows the pension built up at 31 March in the year it was issued and includes an estimate of what your pension could be worth at normal pension age.

Your action for today: Sign in and review your Annual Benefit Statement.

You do not have to make any immediate decisions. Simply checking your information and understanding the headline figures is a worthwhile financial step.
