How to resolve a possible match

If your search on Pensions Dashboards shows that you may have a pension with the Local Government Pension Scheme (NI), you have 30 days to ask us to investigate this.

A possible match may be displayed under ‘Pensions that need action’ because some of the information that you have provided matches our records, but some does not. If you have a pension with us, it may be that your surname or address has changed, and NILGOSC still hold the old information.

Step 1 of 3 – Introduction

Please make sure you have the following before you start:

  • Your PEL number – this can be found on the Pensions Dashboard
  • Your National Insurance Number

We will also ask for some personal information. including name, date of birth, current address and contact details so that we can help process your request.
